We will custom butcher your own farm-raised chickens at our USDA inspected plant.  There is always an inspector at the plant from start to finish on the day of butchering.  Call Bill at 970-231-9705 for a butchering date.

From past experience, we have learned that we must charge more based on ages of the chickens.  We recommend Cornish Rock butchered between 7 and 12 weeks of age or 5 1/2 lbs. live weight.


***For best butchering results***

  • Do not feed birds from noon the day before. They can have all the water they want, but please NO feed. An empty crop assures a cleaner bird.
  • During the really hot months please bring coolers and ice to keep finished birds cold during transport.

*Hens are old if we can't get a knife in them.  Otherwise, if they process ok, they are regular price.
**We do not cut up anything but chickens, all other birds are whole.
***If the pin feathers on ducks and geese do not pass USDA inspection they will be skinned.
